Daytona Beach is 95 miles south of Jacksonville, so that if Atlanta is a
reasonable distance from Jacksonville then Daytona Beach must be a suburb of
Jacksonville.
I was on the Board when we had the National in Daytona Beach. It was the
backup site because Burbank, CA had too many last minute problems.
We (the Board) heard much moaning and groaning about the location and the
hurricane season and any other negative reason that one could imagine. We
(the membership) need to just sit back and consider all options before we
get emotionally involved in a site and location that is in such an extreme
portion of the country.
The next argument will be that we went to Albany and that is in an extreme
portion of the country. The last National in that part of the country was
in 1973. The last National in Florida was in 2003. `Nuff said. D.D.-----

but with Orlando only 3 hours away, it is an option too. Between the 2
airports, the dogs can make it in.
