[ SHOWGSD-L ] National sites

I for one, don't care about fancy hotels for the National. All I need is a
clean bed on which to sleep so I have energy the next day to watch a bunch
of beautiful dogs parade. I don't care if it is indoors or out, I don't
need pricey restaurants. What I do think is important is that all events
are close enough so that anyone who wants to watch one or participate in
one, can do so. As far as the banquets are concerned, we could do without
those as well. You can have a very nice outdoor "ceremony" without all the
price tags. My only consideration is, "Is it close enough for me to drive
there?" I don't plan on flying any of my dogs as that would make the
National go way out of my league. So, to make it fair to everyone, I would
rotate the National, have it at a time that the weather is co-operative for
both dogs and exhibitors and do away with all the extra fancy stuff. I am
willing to pitch a tent, if that is what it takes, and I'm no spring
chicken, but if that is what it takes...
