Susan writes: You know, we have been told that we have to sell the seats in order to pay for the sod. At the risk of being redundant, I'd just like to say that is another advantage to the Purina facility -- we don't have to buy sod! 1. I'd be happy at Purina. Many breed clubs hold their shows there. The Pembroke National will be there for the second time, (2001) again this year. Aren't Shepherds and Shepherd people as hardy as Corgis??? Oh, and seats are free at Purina, also. 2. Why do we need sod in the horse arena in St. Louis? We used to show on tanbark in horse arenas and it is GREAT footing for dogs and people. The St. Louis arena is more dust than tanbark, but there are ways to make horse arenas less dusty without the cost of sod.
