Not trying to disinfranchise or incite a riot, but why does the rotation of 3
nationals in Kitchner and then 1 in the west work for Canada?? Although I
understand west coast frustrations, the number of actively exhibiting west
coast and far SW members, doesn't seem to be able to offset the loss of MW, SE,
NE exhibitors. Take the emotion out of the equation and look striclty at
numbers and the bottom line. I persoanlly liked the CO site, but I like the
Purnia site and Lexington as well. Locations that have the least number
exhibitors, and generate the least revenue and cost the most should be
eliminated. Locations that have been PROVED to generate the most exhibitors,
the most revenue, and be the most cost effective as well as being an attractive
facillity should be at the top of the list for reconsideration. By revisiting
the most profitable sites for the national, you also elminate the need for
sending the show site selection chair/ committee on wild goose chases visiting
sites that are inadequate or too costly. If you try to please everyone, you
please no one, so you might as well just pick the top money making/cost
effective sites and be done with it. PS..Purina supports the GSDCA a great
deal, wouldn't be bad to throw business their way!

WE are listening Ileana. We have the same concerns and frustrations you do.
I actually had someone tell me "well you HAD your west coast national in
UTAH last year" ?????
What he doesn't GET is that now for the next three years we will not be in
reasonable driving distance of any National. We being the western states
for the most part.
What he doesn't get is that many of us don't enjoy a retired life with a
large income, or time enough to take two weeks or more from work or school.
What he doesn't get is that the whole western part of the US has now been
completely ignored and basically disenfranchaised from the Nationals for the
next three years.
I wonder why ?
Now even if we are "allowed " to go back to Ft Collins , I doubt they would
have us...we are breaking our contract. Nice.
I bet if the situation were reversed , the outcry from the central and
eastern states would be enormous and LOUD. Bend over Westerners.
The funny thing is we weren't even asking for 2012 to be in the WEST...Ft
Collins is Central. Yet the westerners are happy to drive to a beautiful
site,
even if it takes 17 hours to do it. At least we can get there!
Time for dual Nationals , me thinks..I am sick of it personally. Sorry I
have a vote of no confidence...zero.
