Had a busy day yesterday on my first full day back from the National. After
driving 9 plus hours home on Sunday, I spent another 4 hours [give or take] in
the truck when I had to go pick up Tess, where she was staying at Camp Moses,
being bred to Ch Tindrock Kaleef About Thyme HSAS ROM..... NICE DOG!! Today,
while Comcast went up and down, I managed to clear off, and read most of, the
1380 PLUS e-mails on my 'puter and respond to a couple. Oh, and thanks to a
watchful lister, I updated my website to include the above litter!!
Now, on to the National.......... Yancy and I had a wonderful time doing the
things we love!! Worked the Temperamnet Test on Tuesday and got to see some
wonderful dogs breeze through the test. I equate the test to a walk in the
park....and would be happy to walk with most of these dogs through any park in
the US - AFTER DARK! LOL What a nice group of dogs!!! Course most of them had
one blaring fault.....they weren't sable! LOL

Yancy got to show his impeccable character in the Judge's Seminar and teach 50
plus folks how to correctly do a loose lead exam! My favorite comment in the
seminar came from an AB judge who said "wish you'd brought a more aggressive
dog so we could see how the test is really done." During the lunch break he
got a real eye opener when Yancy saw the schutzhund demonstration on the field
below and pitched a fit in front of one and all because he wanted to go "play'
with Lew!! LOL

My impressions of judging????? The final group of select bitches were
absoultely lovely. Its a real shame that so many wonderful bitches got excused
but it wouldn't be 'Select' if everyone went home with the title. Yancy had
his time in the ring and went out with the "better luck next year group" but
was in good company. With the dogs she retained, and I'm not knocking anyone
who earned the Select rating or the title, I'd personally have had Alvin in
front! Here's a dog who has a lot to STILL offer this breed. When most of
them are gone by 8 he's still going STRONG! What a handsone dog!!

Got to meet folks I chat with on 'da List all year and see old friends I only
get to see at the National. My normal fun filled vacation!! And, like Paula
(not Pamela) always says.............. 360 days and counting.....
