How many did you enter and compete with? It is a big difference and very hard
on the dogs that are used to running 24/7 and not crated except to drive to dog
shows. Many of the dogs were road worked and conditioned for days and then to
sit for a week is not good for them . The Nationals in the 80's were three
days with a much larger entry. I am for shortening it to Thursday thru
Saturday. The ring was empty much of the time during the day this year, yet we
didn't get out until dark several nights.

Every time I read this comment (regardless of from whom) it irks me. I was
at the National in Daytona... not the greatest showgrounds in the world...
and though not entered, I had my dogs with me - ALL four (at that time) of
them. Not a one of them had any problem being there. *I* was there and that was
all that concerned them.
