Comfort Inn is booked solid.
They had three days available the week of the National...but NOT
Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Price was considerably higher for
Friday and Saturday also......

I stayed at the Diamond Inn for the Mid West futurity and as soon as I
walked in I was frantically calling other hotels in the area for a room with
no luck I might add. So I had to stay there. The room was very old, not
clean to my specifications and I am not a clean freak, Like Linda said it
made red roof (which I stay in) look like a 5 star. I fortunately had no
bugs but would not stay there ever again. I have reservations for the
national at the comfort Inn, ten minutes down the road. The Host hotel The
Holiday Inn was booked which from what I am hearing is a good thing. I am
at the comfort. It is a shame that the Diamond Inn doesn't put some money
into that place and remodel because the location is ideal for Purina Farms,
and the place has lots of grass and could be a very nice place, pool area
was nice but the rooms, gross!!!!

Okay everyone I was just at Purina for the MW Fut/Mat. Here is the hotel
info:
The Diamond Best Western is a complete dump. It is old and nasty. The Red
Roof and Motel 6 are a 5 star hotel in comparison. Upside plenty of grass.
The Holiday inn is owned by the same person, it just happens to be a newer
property the the BW. The rooms have some mold issues and bugs as well. It
is cleaner and more modern than the BW. Those who stayed said the front
desk did not care about bugs and were rude.
I cancelled my room at the "HQ" BW and went to The Comfort Inn. VERY clean
and plenty of grass. Hands down Comfort Inn is the place to stay.
