Kathy is right. The airlines each have a main hub. ( those I listed are
the ones that take dogs )
The airlines direct almost ALL of their flights to their main hub
airport......and then direct all
connecting flights OUT on the smaller aircraft. Therein lies the problem.
NO room for # 500 crates
( AND we all know they make even bitches go in # 500 crates some of the time
now )
 ( it's those ears ) <G>
IF there happens to be a good flight on that connecting flight that is big
enough to take dogs....in general
EVERYONE is booked on that flight and they start "dumping" dogs on the
connecting flight.
IF we can have a National close to any of the listed main hubs.....we can get
direct flights IN with
no problem and don't have to worry about the connections not working.

Part of the reason we go to a National is to see the dogs coming in from all
over the Country.
What a disappointment it will be any time we have a National that restricts
some from getting there
from any area of the Country.
I would rather give up a close National and make it a little further just to
get to see ALL the good dogs!!!!!!

Yes Sally that is a problem. Or connectors that go from multi engine big jet
to eensy puddle jumper that
  cannot take a crate.
Honestly, I believe with the HUGE cost of flying a dog r/t , restrictions,
fewer airlines that will even take dogs,
  and people's dwindling incomes..
.I can foresee there being a West Coast and an East Coast National or Year
End Show, two different shows.
  Don't laugh, it could happen.
