As the horse people say, do it once, and make it memorable. I personally
think Cesar handles dogs and people beautifully...I have NEVER seen him be
unfair or cruel to any dog. The people he is dealing with have absolutely no
common sense. They never correct for anything, and their animals are just
floundering, looking for leadership from somewhere! I was given two wolf
hybrids
years ago. They were very beautiful and sweet, but they paid no attention to me
at all. I had a wolf behaviorist come to help me, and she told me I MUST assume
a leadership role. I put them on their backs twice a day, and they were
ecstatic! They wiggled on their backs, their tails beating sideways in the
dirt.
They came up groveling, and kissing me, each trying to position themselves
close to me. Their behavior was exactly what I have seen wolves doing in a
pack, to the leader of the pack. They were sooo happy,...someone had finally
taken the dreadful responsibility off their backs. They became wonderful pets,
and loved to be dominated and growled at by me. Dogs are wolves, and need
leadership, which does not mean abuse, etc, means that mankind sets the rules
and
limits, and is, to quote my husband, a "Benevolent dictator". Try letting
your horses or cows be dominant....scary thought. A dominant dog is a very
unhappy dangerous animal. Syd
