We are pleased to report that Governor Brian Sandoval has signed AB 110, a bill
which will prohibit a dog from being declared dangerous solely on the basis of
breed and will further prohibit local governments from enacting ordinances that
define a dog as dangerous based solely on its breed, into law. AKC appreciates
the efforts of responsible dog owners and breeders in Nevada in working to
educate legislators about this important issue. It appeared that this bill was
going to die in the Senate Judiciary Committee but your efforts convinced
legislators to move the bill forward. Thank you!
