She was obviously pregnant. Eventhough I ahd a home officce, I knew she was not one of my patients, but asnwered the door, none the less. THe couple told me that they knew I had a number of GSDS and figured that I could help them. Puzzled, I listened on. Apparently they bought a GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY and he was about a year old and they wanted me to take him in. When I asked them why ... We got the dog to see if we were ready to be parents, and when we determined we were, and got pregnant, we NO LONGER NEEDED THE DOG so we are giving him away. Not able to contain myself, I replied, "and when you got tired, upset or frustrated with your child, will you give him up for adoption?" I guess they were rather PO'd with me because they stormed off. I could only shake my head is disbelief.
