I am always amazed at how the GSD people always blame the economy when
other Nationals are getting hugh numbers at theirs. Does the economy not
effect other breeds? Check numbers for Goldens ,Labs, Dobes and Boxers. Heck,
some Lab specialties get more than 380 in their regional specialties. I am
happy that you are pleased and hopefully the rest of the GSDCA are also
pleased. It does not effect me one way or the other as I canceled my
reservations and not going. I was only going as a spectator so it would not
effect
your numbers. I hope even tho in my opinion the numbers are low I hope for a
successful National for all.

Looks some disappointing numbers. I really think they were hoping for more
since this is the Centennial. I don't have the numbers for other years but
the year I judged the total conformation entry was 616. Just checked the
catalog and that was the totals then. That is a difference of 236.
