I know someone that did this and their bitch never went into labor and needed a
c-section.

you can supplement with an oral progesterone, under the supervision of the
repro vet. I would love to know what causes the drop to head it off but I
think it's just mother nature. I have gotten to the point of not
supplementing them and taking them out of my breeding program.
I think fertility issues like these are hereditary (just my thoughts and not
proven) I try to avoid them like the plague because I have had this in the
past.
I think fooling with mother nature isn't the way to go,,,,but I do the
testing and ultrasound etc to know exactly what I am dealing with.
This is just what I do and I'm not saying anyone is wrong for
supplementing.
I have done it in the past. I'm kinda over it,,,,if they can't have
pups
naturally then I'm not pushing the issue. Amy
