[ SHOWGSD-L ] My first dog

The first dog we had was a black cocker spaniel named Cinder when I was a baby. 
Then we got a GSD named Chrissie when I was about 1 1/2 years old.
 From there we moved to the country when I was 6 and built a boarding kennel 
named Janeff’s Boarding Kennel. Subsequently, we raised and showed GSD’s, 
Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s and Miniature Poodles and my parents ran a boarding 
kennel in Kansas City, Missouri.
 I showed a Miniature Poodle in Junior Showmanship for years. This was 
happening late 50’s and early 60’s. I was a dog show child attending dog shows 
with my parents as often as they were held in the midwest area.

When I moved to California after college and marriage, I wanted to start 
showing dogs again and contacted Covy Tucker Hill’s for a GSD back in the early 
80’s.
