I am distressed over the tone the List has taken. With all the vitriolic
comments being made by so many
club members is disturbing. I feel a need to remind all of us that back in the
sixties only two very important
club members were involved in litigation's. It got so bad between them that AKC
saw fit to suspend our club and we lost out on our National Show that year.
I feel that what is going on right now with our club could very well bring
about the same dire consequences.
I strongly advise all of us to take a deep breath and let things cool off for a
while and let whatever litigation's
going on work themselves out.
Let's go back to bragging about our fabulous breed. Along with helpful doggy
hints.
It's time......We are getting to noisy and the neighbors are going to complain.

yourself."
We would all be so much better off if you conducted yourself the past two
years the way you speak in this post. Sadly many of us know this isn't the
way you have conducted yourself or lead the GSDCA.

You all know my feelings for posting to any List, I really do not have the
time nor the disk space to answer all the emails and I am leaving for the
National on Thursday because, as President, I feel I should attend all the
venues.? Besides I really enjoy Tracking, Herding and all the Performance
Events and I cannot wait to see the first ever Working Dog Sport Trial at
our National.? And oh yes, there will be lots of beautiful animals in Breed
followed by a real party at the Victory Dinner.
However, there is this HUGE cloud over the upcoming National and I figured
it was my turn to post something about all the recent events. My goodness,
we are a social dog club of more than 3300 members and yet there are charges
being filed by only a few members?? There are posts about lawsuits and who
is reading them, who is being sued and all the other nasty things usually
lumped together with any suit.
And I ask WHY?? Is this really necessary?? Some?of the charges I have seen
are not even correct, things being charged as being done by a person when in
fact it was done by the Board with a Board vote; and I have not seen any of
the alleged lawsuits that?are being discussed.? Are we doing something
worthwhile?are we just being nasty?? If you do not like the way the Board
or?I have done things then change it in an election (We have one going right
now.), don't just file charges (some are not even done correctly) and think
you are doing something for the good of the GSDCA.
Isn't it time to stop the madness, withdraw all charges, withdraw or do not
file any lawsuit?? ?Go to the National, hear the new slate of officers and
the new board announced, say goodbye to the current board and officers,
watch some wonderful dogs, have fun with friends, and concentrate on what
has brought us all together....the German Shepherd Dog.
