and people with low incomes can still enjoy the sport they just have to manage
their money wisely while participating in what they love.

Some still do spend a ton on showing dogs. Some find ways to do it without
spending a ton.
Interestingly enought I find that in dog shows we have such a huge spread
across incomes. There are people showing dogs that don't have much money at
all all the way up to people that spend tens of thousands or more per year.
Just look at some of the ads in the all breed magazines....not a ton of GSD's,
but some. To run ads like that every week or month. Even the review, some of
the ads this past year have been incredible....and many of them from people who
advertise every month.

oddly enough, people will spend tons of money on their hobbies like hunting,
fishing vacationing and wow you can't believe what people spend on boating and
race cars as just a few examples etc......
I showed Quarter horses for a long time from youth on up...............holy
crap is that a ton of money. Just the silver stuff and outfits alone were
extremely costly ,,,,,I wonder if that has declined through the years.
I can't put my finger on why people will spend the money on other hobbies,
but not showing dogs ??
