And tonite's news talked about (and showed a picture of) an Argentine Dogo who seriously ripped up some kid...and of course, everybody said the dog is the sweetest thing.........and it may be. Karen is right. The problem is not with the breeds, but with the people. The bull breeds (well, the bull/terrier breeds) are among my favorites...but there are people who are afraid of them, and therefore don't like them. That not only isn't the fault of the dogs, it is part of what contributes to the bad press for the poor things. Dogos, of course, I don't know much about except they are big and white.............I've only seen about 6 in my life, and they didn't appeal much. Some people on this list have Corgis, and others like them but don't have them. Many of these people don't like Terriers. It might be interesting for them all to know that Corgis, when they were first in the AKC, were considered Terriers and were not only shown as such, but were sparred. When I first had Corgis, I knew a lot of people who considered them nasty little ankle-biters. Nobody thinks that of them now........... Anyway, you don't have to trust the breed, or like it...but again...it is NOT the breed that's at fault............ Peggy Karen C. wrote: >I respect your opinion. But... how sad!
