Since I received several emails privately asking more about this woman, here 
is a link to a blog.   It IS a blog and an opinion blog, but there are 
details, albeit loaded.   There will be lots of internet buzz on this in the 
next few 
days (on the doglaw lists).   If anybody wants more info, let me know.   (TY,

P.S.   From what I remember, there was no proof of the dog ailing   (but VERY 
old) and no proof of a vet consult after Ms. Grimes stole the dog, secreted 
it, and refused to give it up to authorities.
