is not just my personal preference/opinion.
For some reason the working people want us to take on their passions, but
they never want to take on ours. No one is saying to get a herding degree
you have to have a point, or to get a obedience title you have to have a
major at a conformation show.
The few working dog enthusiasts who want a special class for them in the
conformation shows should be more tolerant and understand there are some of
us who just plain don't want to exert our wills on our dogs and force them
to perform for our enjoyment.
I say that as sarcasm. Anything you want to do to enjoy your dog is all
good. Just remember, what you want, may not be what others want. They should
not tell you what to do, and you should not tell them what to do.
If you want to have a special class for performance dogs, let's have a
special performance event for champions only.
How about a Supreme Temperament Test.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
