So, I'm walking my 5 month puppy at an indoor show yesterday and two juniors dressed to the 9s and dragging their respective small dogs around stopped to pet him. Tall one "did they break his knees yet?" Me "I beg your pardon...his knees?" Tall one "Yes, they break their back knees to get them to stand all slanty." Me " "THEY" most certainly do not !" Short one "Yes, they do. Standing that way gives them hip dysplasia too." Me "No, these dogs are supposed to have angulation. They should be able to cover the most amount of ground w/ the least amount of effort and be able to work all day. Angles don't "cause" hip dysplasia". Tall one "It looks painful". Short one "I don't like it one bit!" Tall one "and it DOES cause hip dysplasia, YOU just don't know". ....as they huffed away, secure in their superior knowledge, the tall girl said to the short girl "poor puppy!"
