I look at it differently....if there's a way to co-opt some of the owners of
mixed breed dogs into our way of thinking (that breeders are not the enemy,
irresponsible pet ownership - - among other things - - is)...and if that way
includes inviting owners of mixed breed dogs to attend AKC events, maybe there
will be few enemies of purebred dogs and breeders...and perhaps some of them
will want to join us. And - - if their entry and registration fees increase
the AKC's budget to fight anti-breeder and purebred legislation and sentiment,
that would be great too.
