It might also be helpful if a list is created to include overshot, undershot or
rye mouth.

I was told by Dr Ben Comery, who taught at Cornell in Dentristy for 10 years
and
is board certified that teeth are hereditary by placement. I believe both have
to carry gene for #3 missing or #1 missing, etc. If both don't carry gene for
specific missing tooth, there will be no missing tooyh, but the progeny could
carry the gene. Ann

Wouldn't it depend on the bitch too, so maybe you're looking for general
"lines" that don't "usually" produce missing teeth. After all, if theoretically
I breed one of my boys to a bitch with missing teeth and there is a puppy in
the litter affected, I wouldn't want his name showing up on a list somewhere.
I've always though the best step to take when not familiar with a line was
to speak to the owners of a particular dog directly and ask "is there
anything I need to worry about?".
