The Mid-Atlantic Futurity/Maturity and the accompanying Specialty
Shows (GSDClub of Northern Virginia and GSDClub of Eastern Virginia)
have had a change of venue! The NEW SITE IS Old Mill Park, 1240
Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia. These are the same grounds
we used
previously, so we can have breed, obedience, and a temperament test at
the same location. We will have use of the Pavillion, and there will be
a food wagon, which is under contract by the park authority, to provide
lunch on all three days.
We have also contracted for a new Motel - the Best Western
Fredericksburg, 2205 William Street, Fredericksburg, VA, where we have
at least 50 rooms blocked until MAY 1, 2007. The group rate for double
rooms is $74, and there is a $15 per night charge for dogs in rooms.
There's great parking, a large area to exercise dogs,and the room rate
includes Deluxe Continental Breakfast! This motel was recently
renovated and is very clean and attractive. We strongly recommend that
everyone call for reservations ASAP, as the rooms are to be held only
until MAY 1 - Tell the clerk you are with the German Shepherd Specialty,
and/or
refer to Conformation Number 84065 to get the Group Rate. The phone
number is: 540-371-5050.
If you have already reserved a room at the HoJo South motel, do
cancel it now and make new reservations at the Best Western. The HoJo
is being renovated,
there is no parking at all, and no good place to ex dogs, either. It's
also not the most convenient motel for Old Mill Park!
Looking forward to seeing many of you over the Memorial Day
weekend for a holiday steeped in German Shepherd Dogs...the best of the
best!
