kennel license through Freedom of Information requests. The
manipulation
of the information gathered is questionable in my mind. I believe, but
can NOT prove, is that contact was made by 2 residents who seem
inordinately interested in kennel standards with minimal understanding
of dog husbandry. The money argument Stormy printed was used with a
variation about lost taxes to gov't.
This is not over, one of the residents is starting her own group
called
KAWS (Knight's Animal Welfare Society(?)) to try to increase their
numbers for round 2.
The dog fancy tends to ignore or avoid the political processes, this
is
where we get into trouble when HSUS and Company start to get involved.
Know your local township or city leaders and candidates, know who your
county government is and make friends with all of the above. I believe
that is a key part of success. Tell these folks when they do things
that
you like, regardless if it is dog related or not.

a set back in St. Clair - we need to keep up the momentum!
