This is pretty shocking!!! This kind of blows away all the theories about
eating too much too fast
and too much water too fast and too much activity after or before eating....and
raw diets and specific
'safe' dog foods, stress, etc.
Did your Vet believe the puppy actually suffered from mesenteric torsion.....or
did they think it was a
weird birth defect or trauma from a difficult birth or something bizarre like
that....? So many questions...........

One of the puppies at 24hrs (one day!!) was not doing well,I immediately took
her to the Vet who performed a post mortem.
What we (I was in the OR) found were six complete twists of the mesenteric root.
Wonder if this could be the cause of so many stillborn and Sudden deaths??
