Mentors...ha! Picture this. You are the breeder of the dam (for several
generations) and you select the sire. Out of the litter comes a super star.
The person you sold the dam to suddenly is the ONLY breeder of this co-bred
litter and even forgets to add your kennel name in some of the advertising.
That's a true story. Moral, you are a mentor until something great arrives
and then when it does, you had nothing to do with it.
