CODE OF ETHICS:
This Code is established in accordance with the objectives of the GSDCA to
protect and advance the interests of German Shepherd Dogs.
1. Each member shall be familiar with the GSD standard as approved by
the GSDCA and The American Kennel Club.
2. Each member agrees to adhere to the AKC Code of Good Sportsmanship.
3. Membersâ?? dogs must be maintained with their safety and good health
in mind at all times, including adequate and appropriate attention and sociali
zation, grooming, feeding, veterinary attention, housing, routine care,
exercise and training. Membersâ?? dogs should be an asset to their community
and
not a nuisance.
4. Members who contemplate breeding a litter, or who allow the use of
their stud dog to the same end, shall direct their efforts toward producing
dogs of exceptional quality, temperament and condition and should sign the
GSDCA Breederâ??s Code of Ethics.
5. Any violation of this Code could result in suspension or revocation
of GSDCA membership.
This is not a Breeder's Code of Ethics. That is separate and still being
worked on.
