his family from Love boat and Jerry Lewis came to visit a couple
times.Barbara Mandrell had just got into showing her cocker.He was not very
nice but she loved him so and framed his red 2nd place ribbon! By the time I
left Branson about 3 years later she had got a couple better dogs and was
still enjoying showing.I met Regis and Kathy Lee Gifford,Played softball
with Wayne Newton and his
theatre people against Tony O and his theatre people.Was invited to Barbara
Fairchild's wedding,Kirby Van Birch loved Shardik and brought him treats
when he visited the theatre.I took Roger Williams shopping and he gave me a
nice signed copy of Autumn Leaves,Tony's musical director in the 80s was
Toti Fuentes(conductor of the Manila philharmonic orchestra in the
Philippines)A very special man...he passed away a couple months ago from
cancer.Tony's musical director in the Branson years was Norman Bergan,who
with Mitch Margo started the Tokens.They filmed a video for The Lion Sleeps
tonight at our theatre.Toni Wine,in Tony O's current band was the voice of
Betty and Veronica on "The Archies" and wrote "sugar sugar" and tons of
commerical jungles including the meow mix
one,"Meow,Meow,Meow,Meow,Meow,Meow,Meow etc.Andy Williams,Roy Clark,Mel
Tillis and Bobby and Dolly Vinton were at my birthday party at McGuffys in
Branson.I met tons more entertainers in Branson and still call se
veral my friends.More recently I have become friends with some very
unlikely musicians that your kids and grand kids will think Is really
kool.Shwayze is a rap over pop beats act featuring Producer Lou Alder's
incredibly talented son Cisco.Shwayze and Cisco just finished their show
"Buzzin" Sundays on MTV. My friend Jeremy Mackie recently scored "The
Gridiron Gang" and the VH1 video awards show.My friend Simon Rex(George the
white rapper in Scary Movie 3)Dirt Nasty is his comedy Rapper name,loves
Medusa and takes her on stage with him every show we go too.Along with "The
Ave" my rappers as I call them have let me and Medusa experience and enjoy
many things you would never dream of.Apparently the last time I mentioned
some of the venues they have included me in,I heard through the grapevine
that some people who were so generous and caring during my Illness and
recovery voiced their opinion that I should not be having fun and attending
once in a lifetime parties and award sho
ws etc.I guess I'm supposed to sit at home feeling sorry for myself! Not
me!Oh,and I just met all the American Idols on their pop tarts tour! They
got pics with Duce and asked dog questions.I met Robin Leech,Lil Jon,Lil
Wayne,Chris Angel,Lance Burton,The 4 tops,The Lennon sisters,Toneloc,The
members of Outcast,Sally Field and many others.Anybody wants to see pics let
me know.Now that Duce really is not up to walking through the airports,I'm
pretty much grounded.Sorry that got long but I kept remembering people and
stories.....
