Max
is in the midst of a serious mid-life crisis - its not this fault -
he's a gentle 7 year old shepherd male who was just left at the shelter
by his owner. His sad eyes tell the little bit of the story that we
know - he's sad and scared and disappointed and wants to live in a
house again with a family!! He comes to the front of his cage very
quietly and politely, and he's such a gentleman on his leash - he walks
slowly next to you and stops when you do. There's such sadness in his
eyes - you just can't help but hug him and tell him it will be okay -
except we all know how many middle aged dogs never make it out of the
shelter. He gets along well with the two puppies sharing his cell and
he seems quite mellow. He gently takes treats from your hand and loves
to press himself against you when you scratch behind his ears. His coat
is dirty and he is so skinny - this sweet guy deserves a better home
for the next part of his life. A nice dog bed and or a spot on the
couch and a bully stick and he'll think he's in heaven. Please contact
