I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the March Review. If I were
to
compare it to the best (or even average) Reviews of the past 30+ years, I would
be disappointed, too. But I am comparing it only to the Reviews of the past
couple of years, some of which I have immediately tossed in the trash. I
enjoyed the Randall article very much. While I knew the early spay/neuter
stuff, this gave me an article I could share with puppy buyers. I think all of
our performance dogs are awesome. While conformation is my first love as a
venue, I am personally more impressed by a German Shepherd who can do
something in addition to displaying a nice side gait. There were more names on
the Membership page than in some recent Reviews. I know that made Dania
smile!
Her job has been so tough lately. It was fun to look at the
Futurity/Maturity/Specialty ads and dream about what is coming up soon. While
financial reports bore me, we all need to be aware of the financial status of
the club right now. The ad on the back took my breath away and led me
immediately to Barbara's website. I found the dogs there very interesting,
especially since I am planning my second German/American show line breeding at
this time. I guess David said it best in his beautifully introspective
article,
"Perspective is everything". I stand by my praise for the March Review.
