I live rural and for the most part, we don't have dogs that run loose very often. Usually someone who has either gone over a fence or someone left the gate open.. However, we did have some issues earlier this spring that needed to be cleared up. If I see a dog once, I will track down the owner and maybe take the dog home. If I see the dog twice, I go tell the owner to come and get his dog and warn him the next time won't be so nice. The final time? I have a pellet gun and a phone to call the sheriff - NO QUESTIONS... And did I mention that if a dog doesn't have a collar or any identification, I take him immediately to the Humane Society. Farmers in our area shoot the dogs - we have too much cattle and too many other herd animals, plus wild animals to take a chance.Jess M.Paisley Dals (www.paisleydals.com)& The Shepherd Girls (Simmie, CGC, TDI, TC, HIC & Pepper, HIC)Member of: DCA, GSDCA & GTCDC _________________________________________________________________ Change the world with e-mail.
