There is the key. It is not just about money, (although the club cannot continually lose money), but it is about the members who want to attend, and the ability to bring a dog. I decided a couple of years ago that I would not bring a dog to the national any longer, but would still attend. My decisions have not proved to be much good, (I still answer to Tedi), but it does seem like more people are going to the national to watch, and therefore the events outside the conformation ring are making more money. We don't know if that is a good thing or not.
