Huge congrats to my friends and mentors!! I was standing ringside cheering on
with all my heart. Leo's a gorgeous boy and he really showed well on Sunday!
Now a little confession. I admit I was a little jealous to lose my
Owner/Handler title from the previous year, but there's no other person that
I'd rather lose to.
Oak, you did fantastic!

Well a couple of Brags here. Sunday at the Plum Creek Shows in Denver
Colorado our boy HME Joelle's Leonardo Windward Earned his 3rd major and a
BOW under Judge Betty-Jo Patrick. It was a 4 pointer. He has now earned 3
majors, two at specialties and one at an all-breed. He is a AM AOE SEL EX
CH/CAN CH Joelle's Diamond Da Vinci TC RN out of Wyndeans Hijinx of Asgard
dog. He has also earned his Health Merit Excellent award from the GSDCA. :{)
Now for my brag. I HANDLED HIM! Yes it's true. In my class there were dogs
handled by Kent, Scotty, JR, Sergio, Ken Tank, Clint Livingston, Val Manning
and many others. My boy came out that day on top. :{)
Several things I would like to say here. First: this was fun! :{) Yes you
guessed it, this was the first time I have personally shown a dog to win a
Major. I am still grinning, Carrie never believed I could do it.
Second a huge thank you to all those professionals who were all very
supportive. You guys can not believe how great it was to be out there with
you.
Third: I want to tell all of you that Scotty is one class act, Scotty if you
read this I want to thank you very much for your support in the BOB ring.
Also Kent is a major class act. He mentioned to me on Saturday that there
were a couple of things I could do to make my boy look better grooming wise.
Don't know if that was the answer but I did win the next day. :{) Also a
big thank you to Sergio who reminded me while I was out in the ring for
winner's that it was time to "stack your dog Oak!"
GSD people are the absolute best.
Finally Tiffany, Jo-Anne if you should happen to read this, thank you from
the very center of my heart for hooking me up with, and trusting me with, my
absolute best pal: a dog called Leo. He wins at Specialties, he wins at
all-breeds, and he is just one great personality.
Hope to see you all down the road, next up Albuquerque.
