Correct Theresa! Back in the day we had a hell of a lot better imports than
the garbage that is coming into this country today. Many of the past greats
and some in the present all go back to these imports of the 60's, 70's and
80's. The German laugh at some of the ill informed people today. The are
selling their throw-aways (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW GOOD ONES) to the idiot
with the biggest wallet. Most of the poor fools that buy these high energy
dogs usually bite off more than they can chew. Like giving a corvette to a
16yr old. Even if a nice one comes into this country, there are very few
people who know what is behind these animals, and possible crap they bring.
But as long as they can pull you around the ring and hit a sleeve, who cares.
When will we learn that the German Shepherd is a herding dog first and
foremost. Maybe the next thing will be dog dancing. God help us...

He had several crosses back to the German GSD V, CH. ROM (US) Bernd Vom
Kallengarten
as well as other German GSDs. That was back when they combined German GSDs and
American GSDs.
