YES! It is working in our favor... not there yet, but they are feeling the
heat. However, please don't be misled. The County Attorney's Office *cannot*
repeal this law. A repeal can only happen if the Louisville Metro Council
introduces another ordinance for that purpose, and then votes to pass that
ordinance. Such an ordinance has not been introduced, nor even discussed.
It is likely that this was just politicalspeak for "don't worry, it won't
really affect you" kind of like "it's a work in progress!"

It seems as if the economic pressures resulting from the Louisville Anti-Pet

I just received a phone call from Victoria Straub. Today she received
a telephone call from her source in the Louisville Visitors and
Convention Bureau. It appears that our economic pressure is beginning
to work!!!! The law is now in the County Attorney's office for the
purpose of repealing it. The hotels have been hit with hundreds of
cancellations for the Cluster weekend, and now the restaurants are
beginning to complain too.
The Hoosier State Chinese Shar Pei Club has cancelled our
reservations for 60 to 80 people at a local eatery. We have been
there for 5 years and have made reservations at Claudia Sanders
Restaurant in Shelbyville, Ky. (She was the Colonels wife). Great
Food, Bar, and some history thrown in too.
Please continue the economic pressure and we may win this fight yet!!!!
