Pet Accidentally Abandoned at TransCanada Highway rest-stop in Alberta on 
May 6, 2009 .
The Ranchlands Tepee Rest-stop Location between Brooks and Bassano, Alberta 
on the west bound sid of the highway.

Name:  Anna - A Sheltie/Border Collie X, Approx. 27 lbs., 7 years old, 
tri-colour Black, brown & white, White chest, white nose & 4 white paws. 
Micro-chipped:  Type EIDAP #968000000334139 between the shoulders, no collar 
at time of disappearance.

The Sad Story - We stopped on our way to Calgary at the rest stop (near 
Brooks Alberta) to give the dogs a break.  Upon leaving we each thought the 
other had put Anna in the back seat of the van.  We did not notice our 
terrible mistake until almost an hour later!  We raced back - but she was 
already gone.
We hope some kind people likely saw her in distress and took her wit them 
rather than leave her alone.  She is VERY friendly and polite - loves 
people, kids, cats and other animals. Our hearts are broken that we could do 
such a stupid thing and are praying for her safe return.
