[ SHOWGSD-L ] Looking for a good "FAST"cure for a hot spot

I have a 3/4 German bred female here that is going home "OF COURSE DOEST
IT ALWAYS HAPPEN?" In a week form now & she has decided to chew a hot spot
in her hip, I thought we had a remedy on the web site but I only found week
killer & dixie ear stuff, so Does ANYONE out there have any remedy for hot
spots? It's been so many years since I had a dog with a hot spot I have
forgotten what to do for one LOL it's about the size of a dime right now but
I dont want it any bigger & prefer it be gone totally................
Was it Listerine or something silly like that? It's not hot & she is only
crated long enough to settle for eating & digesting before back in her
kennel with a kennel mate so it's not boredom except for this 4 hour period I
guess <G>
She has also just gone out of season & is NOT in whelp & was not bred!!!
