I don't know how many of you use Livestock Protection Dogs, Guardian  
Dogs, but there is a move afoot to draft a bill that seems, to me,  
counter to the point of even having them out there guarding your  
livestock.  Read about it here:

ASI needs your input!!!

The ASI working group on Livestock Protection Dogs seeks sheep  
producer comments on a draft management program of dogs. The draft  
needs additional input on

      (1) whether you agree that the program is needed;
      (2) if the guidance is do-able on your operation; and
      (3) what parts of the draft would helpful to you.

Can this draft or a revision be used as a certification program to  
provide management skills and better public relations regarding  
protection dogs?

The sheep producers and predator management representatives that  
worked on this draft look forward to your input on the best guidance  
and materials to provide for the industry on this important issue.
