[ SHOWGSD-L ] Little BRAGS for Strider's kids!

On Sunday, the German Shepherd Dog Fanciers of Northern California and the 
Golden State GSDC  each held a sanctioned match - one in the morning and one in 
the afternoon.  
At the morning match, under judge Bob Ghigleri, Scherzar's Son of a Witch, aka 
Merlin, was shown for the first time in the 3-6 mo. puppy class. He stepped 
into the ring with his friend Amy Riley at the end of the leash and showed like 
he had done it all his life! He went on to win the class and go best male puppy.

Then with Channing Sheets at the end of the leash,  his sister, Scherzar's 
Wicked, Amber,  gaited around ring and won her class and on to best female 
puppy.

So then it was on to Best Puppy In Match.  Brother and sister competing against 
each other...what could be better?  Finally,  Bob Ghigleri pointed to Merlin 
for Best Puppy and Amber for Best Opposite Puppy although I think it was a bit 
of a tough decision. :-)

In the afternoon match, under judge David Fritche, Merlin again won his class 
and on to best male puppy and Amber won her class and on to best female puppy 
so once again, the judge had to decide between the brother and sister and this 
time the finger was pointed to Amber for Best Puppy in Match and Merlin for 
Best Opposite Puppy in Match.  Thanks to Channing Sheets who showed both 
puppies in their class and to Theresa Royer who took Amber back in and went 
Best in Match Puppy with her.

And yes -they both had competition and yes..........they are both SABLES!

and for your nice compliments on both of them.

The pups are out of Janice's  sable bitch, Ch. Scherzar's Cinnamon Twist OFA 
Excellent (at age 6)  and by Ch. Rohan's Reward TC, CGC, HT, CD, RE. CHIC.

Merlin is owned by Janice Staley and myself and Amber is owned by Janice Staley 
& "yet to be determined"  :-)

It was a great day with sunny weather, good friends and dogs and  a great pot 
luck/ BBQ celebrating Eric Norby's birthday.  Watch for these kids with Art 
Sinclair once they are six months and ready to hit the big time.
