A good example of how things can go bad. Last year I renewed my dues with my CC
before the Nationals which was in October. Charge cleared my account in
October. I got a past due notice, contacted the GSDCA immediately and told them
I had already paid. I did not get a January review when I check to see why they
had me as not renewing. Got it corrected and Susan sent me a Review out
immediately. If this can happen then I would think that they sure as heck could
have misplaced Margery's check. Of course, if she did not find out utill after
cut off then she would have to make application to join again not a renewal. I
guess we just don't really know what happen. It is one of those mysteries that
may or may not be resolved. It is such an important issue I am sure it will
make it to TRU TV soon.

In that case, why not just send another check or another form of payment. If
the check was never deposited or the debit was not received by the credit card
company, Margie would have known this and had nothing to lose by resubmitting
her membership dues.
Several times in my life, I've sent a check to an agency and said agency
claimed they never received it. (It's happened fewer times with a credit card
charge.) At one time or another, I bet this has happened to almost everyone on
the List. Heck, I wired money to the Germany Shepherd Dog Club of Hungary and,
for all I know, the money went to La-La Land. It sure didn't make it to
Hungary, or if it did, they bungled the transaction. Whichever the case, my
bank plans to credit my account for the amount wired and I'll try again.
Simple as that.
I'm not trying to defend anyone. I'm just trying to keep it real.

Shouldn't that have been an easy problem to rectify? If Margie paid by credit
card, she could have presented a copy of her credit card statement that showed
the transaction. Same thing if she had paid by check. She could have
presented a copy of the cleared check to Bill.
If Margie did indeed present hard "evidence" that she had paid her dues and
Bill refused to cooperate, then that's a *big* problem. I admit I find this
hard to believe. Once, I sent in my dues and they were "lost" for two months.
I contacted Bill and he immediately took care of it and renewed my membership.
Plus, I doubt very seriously that Bill would do this and think he could get
away with it..........He's a smart man.

Bill Pfeiffer denies getting her dues, and she claims she sent them, so she
