Kathy Tank JUST mentioned something we don't talk enough about (that's right, I'm starting another thread). Ligamentation! You know what else we don't talk about nearly enough? Musculature! Now why is that? Many people in the breed have a very good understanding of how a dog should be built in terms of its skeleton, and how the dog should MOVE if the skeletal structure is proper...but why don't we discuss what happens when a dog is built in a skeletal manner that denotes he should blow you out of the water in movement....but doesn't? This could be due to a number of factors, but, trouble with health and what not aside...shouldn't musculature and ligamentation be taken into consideration? What good does perfection of the skeleton do, if the muscles do not "lay properly" on the dog? -- Jackie & Jonathan Nguyen Marcato German Shepherds <http://www.sparkly-lion.net/marcatogsd> S Konzert vom Drachenberg, RN, CD, CGC "Strauss" Devine's Gunpowder N Lead "Mirada" ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2010.
