if you think there are no politics in the other venues you are kidding
yourself.
Its the nature of competition. You can and SHOULD expect the games of
politics to be part of it. on any competition, not only dogs.
The things to do are: recognize it, ignore it and keep doing what you
enjoy, or fall prey to the "poor me" mentality.
Old say: "you can play with the big dogs, or stay on the porch"

Who said I was doing that? I certainly didn't. There are a lot of other
venues where the work of the dog and handler can be appreciated, and not be
mired in politics (not as heavily, anyway). Agility, obedience, rally,
etc.
