The per diem is $50 a day, and while you are there 3 days, you get 2 days.
Breakfast at the hotel is $20, lunch and dinner more.
There is no reimbursement for food, and the per diem comes AFTER the meeting
Air travel is now about $400 - $500
You do leave at 5am Friday and if the site is far enough away, you catch the
red eye home
Sunday night and get home Monday morning - so some of us lose 2 days of work.
And on occassion, planes get cancelled.
Airport food is expensive
