I can't help it...it must be my weekend for quotations.............so,
to paraphrase the late Sir Winston Churchill, here ya go:
"There are a terrible lot of lies going around...and the worse
of it is half of them are true."
And then there's always George Orwell, (who's been mentioned on the
list before by several of us), who said:
"Political language...is designed to make lies sound truthful and
murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind."
And finally, even Hitler knew about the power of lies.........he said:
"By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is
possible to make
people believe that heaven is hell, and hell heaven. The greater
the lie, the more readily it will be believed."
I don't care who asks the questions, so long as they are answered
(truthfully). I know I'm not the only one who's damn tired of being
treated like a mushroom............................
