[ SHOWGSD-L ] Lex, the now retired GSD...

The news networks have all been showing clips of Lex, the bomb-sniffing dog
who is being retired today and allowed to go and live with the family of his
former partner, who was killed in Iraq.......
there was an official ceremony at the base in Georgia today, and the dog
goes home to Mississippi with his new family tomorrow. Amazing...this
grey-faced 8 year old boy, a very handsome fellow, would in the ordinary
course of events have to serve 2 more years.....he's had 2 tours in Iraq
already....so this story has captured everyone's hearts...... I watched the
story on MSNBC and on Fox News today....probably there will be more coverage
tonite, even maybe on regular network evening news.
Tear jerking for sure...but worth seeing. What a good dog!!! And what
a beautiful German Shepherd!!! Guide Dogs for the Blind are making a BIG
mistake........
