OFA in  our breed. In my opinion they all enter the class on a level playing 
field, no  different then say 6-9 puppy class were the judges knows they are 
between the  age specified. In BOB competition the judge knows they are all 
Champions, but  does not know if they are OFA certified.



I was on the board when the Conditional Class was established.  I felt the 
Select Excellent, done AFTER the dog won, was enough. But, Carmen  convinced 
the 
board it was a good idea.  I disagreed then, and I do now. It  is a class 
with no value. If the dog is good enough then it should compete for  points. If 
the dog is already finished, it should compete for Select.  The  class does 
nothing other than give someone a chance to get into Selects from a  single 
class 
win.  The entries, although some good dogs, (Ben was entered  in the first 
class to support the decision), the winners have established the  lack of value 
of the class.
