I recently lost a dog that I bred and co-owned with wonderful people to
Lepto.  He had his booster several  months prior and was vaccinated
regularly but the strain he had was not included in the vaccines.  Lance
lived with the owners in Columbia, MO and was training for his VST.

With the vaccine only covering a couple of the many strains my repo vet Dr
Brimacomb feels the risk of reaction to the vaccines are higher than the
dogs she has seen with Lepto even with the number of cases increasing.

Lance was also the sire of 5 pointed progeny from only a couple breeding's
and many titled progeny including a PAM son and several working on  their
PAM's.
