That is a great list of the hotels that are close now we need to call them and
see if they take dogs abnd how many rooms they will allow dogs in.

I guess my point was that whoever posted that there was only one hotel within
40 miles was delusional.....and as I just posted.......there are at least 10
hotels within 6 miles of the Champion center. Here is the list I have.
These are NOT official hotels...just a Springfield Toursim map.
Comfort Suites 5 miles
Country Inn 6 miles
Couryard By marriott - 3 miles
Days Inn - 5 miles
Fairfield Inn 6 miles
Hampton Inn 5 miles
Holiday Inn 5 miles

Ok will will go check it out. 25 mile drive to a hotel is not acceptable I
don't believe. That would be a 50 mile round trip per day. That may be what
they were talking about. If that is the case then it is 10 more miles than they
thought.

I am looking at a Springfield tourism map. There are at least 10 hotels
within a 6 mile drive. I saw the post last week from someone that said there
was only one hotel within 40 miles. Considering Dayton is only 25 miles
away.....I'd say that was the rumor mill in full swing.

You know what really bugs me about this is that when we ask questions about the
requirements for a national location we never get firm guidelines. It seems

they are more or less made up at the desire of the person doing the choosing.
SO
Is sod a requirement?
How many rooms need to be dog friendly?
How many RV sites are there needed and do they need to be on the show site?
Does the PC get a kick back from renting RV spots or does it help off set the
cost of the facility?
How much can the PC afford?
Are banquet facilities required on the site?
