Well, then, you would probably be happy with a mixed-breed dog from the pound
that you can train and show but - OH, NO ! wait a minute . . . we are talking
about pure-bred GSD's here, aren't we ?? Cuz this is a GSD SHOW List, isn't it
???, and if you are going to put in all the time and money to title one of
these GSD's (title AFTER the name), why not start with an attractive one that
at least looks like he should ?? (public perception) I know some conformation
people are just crazy over fantastic side gait, tremendous front reach, etc.,
but personally, for me, they first have to be "pretty" - if I have to look at
it, I want it to be Pretty and Typey.

You know what??!!! I would rather have a dog that I know, without a doubt,
can do the obedience before I would ever look at "beauty"! Also, what about
the old saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder? And the saying that
beauty comes and goes, but intelligence lasts a lifetime?

can attain their Championship ??? LOL - not that many - IN MY OPINION judging
from what I've been seeing at shows for LO ! these many years - talk about
public image - how about insisting that a dog LOOK like a well-bred German
Shepherd Dog should look like before you go putting obedience titles on him ! I
have seen the dogs that are at my local specialty club in the obedience classes
and I have thought: dear god, where did they get these dogs ??
