Did you ever see an eagle? It's a whole lot more than a "beaky bird."
It was chosen to represent the USA...and it wasn't chosen because it
didn't look proud, watchful, intelligent, and above pettiness and the
like...just the way we want the German Shepherd Dog to appear.
